The white alicorn felt so scared and confused that he didn't even try to break free from his chains. Not that it would have done him any good anyway, since the runic spells that covered them would have blocked any chance to use magic against them. He just stood there, trembling and cowering, as the terrible princess slowly gaited towards him, smiling evilly.

"Such an interesting specimen", she said, cupping his chin. "You are male, right?"

"Euh... I believe so, Your Highness."

"You are the first male alicorn I've ever seen. If you are the only one, you must be mine."

"I don't know if I am...", he said, trying in vain to move away from the princess. "It sounds like you just want to keep me as a pet."

"Ah, if only...", the princess said, as she calmly observed every inch of his body. "Celestia would never let me. So I suppose I can only... ask you to be my slave for the night."

"I... understand, Your Highness... I don't know how I'll be able to help, but I'll try..." he lowered his voice. "It's not like I have a place to return to either."

"Such a lovely servant", she smiled. "I'm sure you will be a splendid bedroom partner."

"Bedroom partner? What is that?"

"Let me show you what I want from you."

The princess stood up and her horn started glowing, casting a lust spell. But suddenly, with a loud clank, her charm was interrupted and her head was pushed back.

"Ugh!", she moaned. "How..? You... You are a virgin?"

"I am, your Highness", he blushed deeply, covering his face with his wings. "I have never been with anypony before."

"Oooh, a first-timer...", she said lustfully. "Well, child, how about I teach you a thing or two?"

The stallion hesitated and looked away, his lack of knowledge cornering him. He subtly nodded. "If... if Your Highness sees me fit to..."

The princess lifted her head up haughtily, pleased by his humility. "What is your name, alicorn?"

"My name is Ivory Rune", he replied, "but my friends call me Ivy."

"I assume you know who I am."

"You are Princess Bermeia of Hisponya."

"Good", she nodded, thinking for a moment. "Have you ever been kissed, Ivy?"

Ivory looked away and shook his head. "Never."

"Would you like to learn that first?"

He opened his eyes widely, surprised and clearly interested. "If I could possibly be granted that honor", he bowed, closing his eyes in respect. Bermeia smiled and licked her lips before delivering a gentle, but thorough kiss on his mouth, slipping in a bit of her tongue.

"Now", she said, "one less thing at which you are a virgin."

Ivory reared up, his whole body blushing deeply. "D-don't say it like that, aah~!", he moaned.

The princess laughed loudly. "We are going to have so much fun together. Maybe I could ask you to be my slave for longer than a night. Maybe until I've taught you all you need to know."

"So be it, if you so wish, Your Highness", he accepted humbly.

Ivory Rune watched her from under the sheets as Princess Bermeia quickly put her clothes on, satisfied after a pleasant session with her new concubine. She sighed in delight.

"You did a good job, Ivy. Your Princess is satisfied."

"I am happy that is so, Your Highness", he smiled.

"Now I must tend to my duty as a Princess. Go talk to my personal assistant, he will take care of your room."

"A room?"

"The royal chamber isn't the right place for a slave, is it?", she winked. "I'll see you soon, Ivory Rune."

"Yes...", he replied, saddened, "Your Highness."

The strong discussion in the royal strategy room could be heard from almost the entire palace. Ivory Rune shyly slipped his head through the entrance door.

"I will not tolerate a secession", grunted Princess Bermeia. "Those greedy Caballians have pushed their luck too far, they are my subjects and they will pay their taxes like everypony else."

The royal counselor nodded sternly. "Shall we send them an ultimatum, Your Highness?"

"Yes, Rix. They must know I am not fooling around. You may leave now."

He nodded politely and left, briefly greeting Ivory on his way out. The concubine stepped in.

"Your Highness?"

"Yes, Ivory, what is it? Come here, sit by my side."

He approached shyly. "I'm really sorry to interrupt. You look a little tense, are you okay?"

"Ruling over a kingdom is not an easy task, young Ivory", she sighed. "But I have been doing it for over a thousand years, so I think I can handle it."

"I can imagine. A thousand years? Without any breaks?"

"We are chosen for our power. Only we can rule the lands."

"I understand, but I am sad you could never take a rest. Do you by any chance know Coppercog?"

"I sure do", she smiled, "he worked for me for many years, when he still had legs."

"Oh, I didn't know that. He was my friend in Ponyville, and he has just sent me a letter, inviting me to go join him during next Hearth Warming Eve. Wouldn't you like to come with me?"

"Come with you?", the princess asked in surprise. "Me?"

"Yes, Your Highness", Ivory nodded. "After all, it would be perfect for you to take a little break from your obligations. You need to rest your body and mind to do a good job."

"Why, thank you very much for worrying about me. I won't forget it", she laughed. "But no, I get enough rest, and there's no time to abandon my throne now. You are free to take a couple of days to visit your friends, and of course, you can invite them to come to Hisponya for the next Carnals. You may use the royal postage to send them your reply."

"I understand, thank you very much", he bowed politely. "I am sorry you can't come with me. After all... I do belong to you, don't I?"

"You know, I think you are my best slave. I'll have to start getting them in Equestria if they are all as nice as you."

"I am flattered", he blushed, "thank you for your kindness, Your Highness."

Grévy, the royal witch doctor, prepared a mysterious mixture in his mortar, calmly ignoring Ivory Rune's moans of pain.

"Sooner or later, we all learn / that sex with changelings can burn", he rhymed.

"Aie...", the alicorn writhed. "Her Highness ordered me to spend the night with Queen Chrysalis... I didn't know her fluids were so acidic... It itches..."

"This magical ointment of mine / will soothe your itch, boy concubine.
With olive oil, honey and mare milk, / your rod will soon be fine as silk", said Grévy, as he applied the ointment to the affected area with his hooves.

"Mr Grévy", Ivory's ears stood in uncomfortable surprise, "what are- hnng, yes, that works...", he relaxed, the itch receding. "Thank you so much, what a relief..."

"Anoint your penis thrice a day, / and soon your rash will go away.
Your princess will pay for your cure. / I'll see you again, of that I'm sure."

"Good bye, sir. And thanks again!"

Princess Bermeia sighed in soft delight, hugging his new concubine from behind after another pleasant night.

"Tell me, Ivory", she said, "are you happy in my castle? Is there anything you miss?"

"There's... actually something I miss. But why do you ask, Your Highness?"

"You are my personal slave. I need you to feel happy with your job, if I want you to perform well."

"I understand. In that case, the only thing I feel I lack is company. I feel thankful for what I have, but I wish for a special somepony with whom to share my happiness. Somepony to love."

"Well, my palace is big and I have many servants, you may eventually find somepony for you."

"I really hope so, thank you for caring about me. We all have a deep desire to be loved one day - do you have it too, Your Highness?"

"Maybe I once did...", the princess sighed, saddened by his question.

"May I get closer to you, Your Highness?"

"Granted."

"Bermeia", said Ivory, looking into her eyes, "you know I belong to you. You let me choose and I decided to stay. I've seen you work, I've seen you angry, and I've seen you in pleasure , but I've never seen you this sad before. Do you think you will never be loved?"

"That's not the problem. My problem is the curse we princesses all share."

"Excuse my ignorance, but what would that be?"

"How long do you think you'll live, Ivory? Seventy years? A hundred, maybe?"

"As long as I can, Your Highness", he smiled, before realizing what she meant. His face then turned to gloom. "They said... that male alicorns did not exist... and here I am. I don't know if my life will be as long as a princess's, but it could..."

She put her face close to his, their horns touching. "That is my hope."

"As long as you keep me in your heart, I will live and make your hope come true", he said.

"That is very beautiful, Ivy. I wish you are right. But still, I will be your mistress."

"I wouldn't want it any other way, Your Highness."

The sun rose, Princess Celestia signaling the beginning of a new day, but Ivory Rune had not slept. He was at the castle library, reading hundred of books at the same time, transporting them with his telekinesis.

"Advanced spells", Maccavallo's "The Prince", Jùn Tzu's "Art of War"... Argh, nothing! Botany... nope. Oh, time control...! "How to organize your time"? Dammit!"

Alerted by the noise, Grévy entered the room, rubbing his eyes with his hoof.

"Ungodly early in the morn, / what do you look for, alicorn?", he said.

"Good morning, Grévy. I am trying to find a way to look into the future."

"What twisted knowledge could you get / from events that have not come yet?"

"Alicorn princess live thousands of years, could it be possible for me to live that long? I don't really know, I'm afraid to take a peek and see that I won't, but there's hope... I need to know."

"Even to alicorns, death occurs. / You could see your end. Or even hers."

Ivory dropped his books in sudden horror. "I don't want to look that far! Just enough to know if her wish could come true."

The zebra sighed and bucked a nearby bookcase, causing a book to fall directly on top of the alicorn.

"Ouch! Oh! This is it! This it the one!", Ivory quickly started reading. "Hmm, it's a difficult one, but I expected as much. Let's see... If I am to live only as long as a normal pony, I should have about... maybe 70 more years to live. I'll check 100 years from now. Let's hope this works... Wish me luck!", and concentrating, he eagerly casted the spell.

"May your time journey joy beget. / What you see there, you may regret", Grévy said to no one at all.

pic

The last flashes of the spell faded and Ivory Rune looked around. He was still in the castle library, but it somehow looked different.

"Did it work?", he asked to himself. "I think it did! I better hurry, this spell only lasts so long. There's got to be something useful here." He rushed towards a nearby desk and looked around the many papers that covered it, looking for any recent news. 'The Caballians regret their decision and beg Her Highness to accept them back into her kingdom'. Nothing about me, and this is from ages ago. Oh, no! 'Official mourning - Princess in inconsolable grief after the death of her spouse...' Ah, no, it's about some other princess. Whew! 'Carnals are coming - great celebration in...' Grrr, nothing!"

In his despair, the alicorn didn't notice the delicate steps approaching him from behind.

"Don't you think it's rude to read someone else's paperwork without permission?", a female voice asked.

Some papers slipped from Ivory's hooves, as he turned around and faced a beautiful young alicorn mare, who smiled at him.

"Gah!", he screamed in surprise. "I'm sorry, I just... wait, who are you?"

"I am Iris", she replied. "I live here. I've been expecting you, Ivory Rune."

"How do you know my name? What do you mean, expecting me?"

"I see you did the right thing when you asked me to help you", she giggled.

"Help me? How could I possibly ask you to do that if I don't even...?"

"You did, just a few days ago. I hope you've found everything you needed, you don't have much longer."

"I... I can't believe it. So I really... But I still have way to prove it to the princess!"

"You could always tell Berri about me."

"Berri? Oh, Berri is...? But why you, how would that help?"

"I am the proof that you needed", she winked. "Your time is up now, dad. I'll see you again."

Ivory's eyes opened wide as his spell started breaking. "What do you w-what wait woah wha? No, wait, t-"

Princess Bermeia slept in her chamber, softly snoring, as Ivory Rune gently tried to wake her up, caressing her with his hoof, his face shining in happiness.

"Your Highness..."

The princess groaned, turned, and scratched her crotch with her hoof. "What's the matter, is it daytime already? What do you wake me up for, Ivy?"

"I'm sorry, Your Highness, but I have very important news."

"Alright... ", she yawned, rubbing her eyes. "What is it?"

"I used a spell to travel into the future, and I got proof that I will live long enough too... I can prove it," he said, trying to put all the evidence he collected in order, as his heart tried to muster all the resolve it could.

"You don't say", she giggled. "Well, let's hear it."

"Erm... A daughter, we will have a filly called Iris. An alicorn like us, her coat will be salmon, and her mane will be like yours, but with pink streaks."

"Aww, that's a very beautiful fantasy, my dear", she said, her voice reflecting her skepticism.

"But... but it's... The Caballians! Do you remember them? You will grant them their independence, but they will come back to your kingdom after a while", he uttered in despair, his eyes watering as his evidence gets turned down.

"Ha! I know that, the Caballians couldn't rule themselves for their own life. But I doubt I'll let them secede from my land."

"I...", he hid his face, a dead weight sinking in his stomach, his hope fading away. "I'm sorry I wasted your time, Your Highness..."

"Oh, Ivy, come here", she hugged him with her wings. "I appreciate your efforts to bring us closer, I really do, however those may be fantasies you brought yourself trying to use that advanced spell..."

"It isn't like that... I did see that, in the library, Iris was there, and...", his voice sounded broken, tears falling down his face. "In 100 years..."

"Iris... That's a pretty name", she cleaned his face with her hooves.

"Believe me..."

"Ivory Rune, doesn't being this close to me fulfill your desires?", she asked, saddened by seeing her concubine unable to hold back his tears.

He sniffled, his eyes reflecting her image. "It's not like that... I just...", he shook his head, washing the tears away, a word popping in the back of his head as if Iris had whispered it again. "I just know that my place is beside you, Berri." His crying stopped, clinging to that last word with all the hope he had got left.

Bermeia's eyes opened wide, flabbergasted. "Wha... What did you call me?"

He hugged her tight, as if never wanting to let her go. "Berri... Berri!"

That simple word triggered her memories, her eyes getting teary with a sudden feeling of reminiscence. "N-No one calls me that... Not since more than five centuries ago...", she held her tears back, but her usually firm and imperative voice trembled a little. "Y-You're telling the truth?"

"I swear I am, Your Highness. I hadn't slept for days... I needed to know... I had to make sure...", he brought his face closer to hers, their horns touching the same way they did when she confessed her wish to him. He smiled despite the tears on his eyes, "that my place was next to you..."

The princess remained silent as her expression changed, needing several minutes to process what she had heard. She then quickly stood up on her bed, making Ivory roll backwards. Her voice sounded reassuring, "Ivory Rune."

He looked up to her, his legs in the air. "Y-yes, Your Highness?", he sobbed, even her way to stand felt different now.

"I command you to ask me to marry you."

"I... what?", he blinked, unable to process the order he had just received. He blushed, "I... Your Highness... would you be so... immensely kind... as to mar-" She pounced him and gave him the most intense kiss he had ever received and she had ever given. It lasted an entire minute, both running out of breath. Ivory was taken completely by surprise, and overwhelmed by her passion. Panting gently, he snuggled his face under her proud magical mane, wrapping his hooves around, clinging to her as if afraid of waking up and noticing this is but a dream.

Suddenly, Bermeia moved back and shouted, making Ivory's ears ring, "RIIIIX! ANYPONY!"

The royal counselor galloped in after a few minutes. "Ah... you called, Your Highness?", he panted. "Is everything alright?"

"Send a message to the Caballians", she replied, "tell them they may shove their bloody land up their arses, I grant them their independence. And they better not even dream of ever doing business with Hisponya. I demand that a wall is built between our lands immediately. And begin the preparations for our wedding."

"The what for your what?! But... a royal wedding, the invitations, the subjects, the food, it can't be..."

"Hmm, yes, you are right... Prince Ivory will want his friends to attend his wedding. And the people of Hisponya must learn about their new ruler."

"Prince Ivory...?", the alicorn exclaimed. "Me...? My... my friends will come too, Your Highness?"

"Don't call me Highness, Ivy", said the princess. "From now on, you should address me as Berri."

Everypony in the royal ceremonial room gasped in awe, as the groom crossed the entrance and gaited nervously along the long red carpet. The National Anthem of Hisponya flooded the room. The celebration was going to be pretty unusual, but the princess had insisted that Ivory wore the gown, as her official robes looked too manly, and he looked better than her in it anyway. The golden flame-shaped lace shone in the candle light, the silky cloth even whiter than his fur. He caught a glimpse of his friends, Coppercog, Yhsrettulf, his whole herd, watching from the pews, waving proudly at him. The princesses of every kingdom sat in the front row. He carefully stood next to her lover at the altar. She looked at him with a smile.

"Fillies and gentlecolts of Hisponya, princesses and queens of all allied kingdoms", she announced to the room, "we are gathered here to celebrate my nuptial union with alicorn Ivory Rune." She faced him, "Ivory Rune, I, Bermeia, princess of Hisponya, swear to love you and stay by your side for the rest of my life and yours. May my joy be yours and mine your sorrow. Be our lives one and our souls inseparable. For this, I marry you."

His eyes twinkled which each of her words, trying to memorize them. "Bermeia, I, Ivory Rune, swear to love you and stay by your side for the rest of my life and yours. May my joy be yours and mine your sorrow. Be our lives one and our souls inseparable. For this, I marry you", he repeated softly, nervously.

The princess faced the audience again. "If anypony knows a reason why this union should not be made, say it now." The whole room stayed in dead silence, except for a few shy coughs, her stern glance making sure nopony had anything to say. She then turned back to the groom. "Ivory Rune, kneel."

He nodded and obeyed immediately. She removed his veil with her magic, her horn lighting up the whole room, touching his with it. "By my authority, I, Bermeia, declare you my husband and," as a silver crown formed on his head, "prince of all Hisponya. May your law be kept as mine is. You may kiss me to seal our engagement."

The whole room cheered and applauded as, with a shy grin, Ivory stood up and pressed his lips against hers, spreading his wings, his love for her meaning much more to him than the ceremony itself, desiring to forever be by her side. His mane changed, glowing, light cherry petals falling from it and disappearing as they touched the ground. His happiness was to great that his magic created northern lights in the Hisponyan sky, over thousands of miles.

"Thank you," he whispered, "for choosing me."

"I didn't choose you, Your Highness," she replied. "It was fate."
